October 22, 2026
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, October 31. Pinecrest's Halloween weekend comes a week earlier. From Friday, October 23, through Sunday, October 25, the Village and Pinecrest Gardens run three events at two parks. Each one has its own crowd, price and start time, and none of them overlap. A family with young kids, a couple looking for a night out and grandparents who want something in daylight each get their own evening. Saturday, October 31 is still free for front-porch trick-or-treating on your own street.
| Night | Where | Who it's built for | Start | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Friday, Oct. 23 | Evelyn Greer Park | Kids in costume, families with blankets | 5 p.m. | Free |
| Saturday, Oct. 24 | Pinecrest Gardens, Banyan Bowl | Adults; the tasting is 21 and older | 6 p.m. VIP tasting, 8:15 p.m. concert | $50 to $125 |
| Sunday, Oct. 25 | Pinecrest Gardens, Banyan Bowl | All ages, with a student rate | 4 p.m. | $20 adult, $5 student |
The Village's Track or Treat and a Movie runs from 5 to 9 p.m. at Evelyn Greer Park. Trick-or-treating starts at 5 p.m. on the park's track, with candy and games along the way. At 7:30 p.m. the lawn becomes an outdoor theater for Zootopia 2. The Village asks people to bring blankets, lawn chairs and their best costume. It does not mention tickets or registration.
The schedule leaves a two-and-a-half-hour gap between the first trick-or-treater and the opening credits. A family with a toddler can do the track and be home before the movie. A family with older kids can eat on the lawn and stay for the whole evening. Because the event costs nothing and starts at 5 p.m. on a Friday, you have to plan when you arrive, since it can't sell out.
Friday also sets up the rest of the weekend. The kids' version of Halloween gets its own night, with its own park and a 5 p.m. start. Saturday at the Gardens can then be something else entirely.
Pinecrest Gardens moves its Saturday crowd in two waves. The first is Pinecrest Uncorked, a wine tasting through the Gardens with 12 California wines curated by Marchelle Wines. Each pour comes with a savory bite, and guests keep the tasting glass and a wine-notes guide. Tasting-only admission is $65 in advance and $75 at the door. The event is 21 and older.
The second wave is the concert. Hazmat Modine plays the Banyan Bowl at 8:15 p.m., with doors at 7 p.m. and assigned seating. Community News described the group as a collective whose sound mixes Delta blues, gypsy jazz and global rhythms. This is the second year of the Gardens' Sound Session series.
The pricing on the Gardens' event page shows how the evening is meant to go:
The general tasting window opens at 6:30 p.m. VIP holders get in half an hour earlier. That works out to more than two hours of walking the grounds with a glass before taking a seat under the banyans. The advance price is the one to plan around. On concert-only tickets, buying at the door costs $10 more. On VIP tickets the gap is $25. The Gardens' Uncorked event summary lists a higher door price for the concert than the Hazmat Modine page does. Check the figure when you buy rather than counting on either one.
Cristina Blanco, executive director of Pinecrest Gardens, explained the venue's appeal to Community News when the season was announced in August:
"Most people come to Pinecrest Gardens for the beauty of the landscape, and then they discover live music, art, education, and events happening right alongside it."
If Saturday needs a slower start, Salty Sisters at the Pinecrest Community Center, 5855 Killian Drive, is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. The Village's June 2026 newsletter describes it as a fast-casual spot serving coffee, sandwiches, bowls, house-made pastries and ice cream. It is closed Sundays, so Saturday is the only chance this weekend.
The weekend ends back at the Banyan Bowl, this time in the afternoon. The Greater Miami Symphonic Band plays its Halloween concert at 4 p.m. Sunday at Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 Red Road. The band's event page lists tickets at $20 for adults and $5 for students. The program draws on music from film and stage, with selections from Alfred Hitchcock, Amadeus, Army of Darkness, Bewitched, Bride of Frankenstein, Puttin' on the Ritz and Sweeney Todd.
Compared with Saturday's prices, a family of four with two students pays $50 for Sunday's show. That's the same as one advance seat for Hazmat Modine. Tickets go through the band, not the Gardens box office. The Gardens' listing sends buyers to the band's ticket page. One of the band's own pages still said Pinecrest Gardens tickets were not yet on sale even after the concert page linked to them. If the link doesn't work, check again before Sunday.
Sunday also lets you spend the whole day at the Gardens, because the Pinecrest Gardens Farmers Market runs that morning. The listed hours vary between the Gardens' date-specific calendar entry and its general description. Treat it as a morning market that winds down in early afternoon, and confirm the exact window with the Gardens. Here is how Sunday can go:
That makes two trips to the same address on the same day. It's easy when the address is in your own ZIP code.
With the Village's events finished on October 25, Saturday, October 31 has no competing schedule. Families who went to Friday's track event still have a full week before neighborhood trick-or-treating. The Gardens' two weekend shows are done before Halloween costumes need any final fixes.
The calendar stays busy after that. The Village's 2026 Senior Games run November 2 through 6 and cost $15 per person. Events are spread across Coral Pine Park, Suniland Park, Bird Bowl and Evelyn Greer Park. For many participants, that week will be their first long visit to the rebuilt Coral Pine Park. It reopened after an April 24 ribbon cutting with a new multipurpose building, a walking path, a fitness station, expanded parking and four new pickleball courts.
The next Saturday, November 7, the Banyan Bowl opens its 17th season of Jazz at Pinecrest Gardens. Allyson Briggs and the Dan Gabel Big Band perform from 8 to 10 p.m. The Gardens' listing prices Level A seats at $55 to $60 and Level B at $45 to $50, processing fee included. In December the season continues with Allan Harris Sings a Nat King Cole Christmas on the 12th and Orquesta La Oferta's tribute to El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico on the 19th, according to Community News.
For the Halloween weekend itself, bring the kids to Evelyn Greer on Friday. Buy Saturday tickets in advance if you want the 6 p.m. tasting. Get Sunday's $20 and $5 tickets from the band directly.
Weekends like this one, built around Evelyn Greer Park, the Banyan Bowl and Red Road, are part of what Miami Brokers Group means by knowing Pinecrest block by block. If you're thinking about what your home is worth in this calendar, we'd be glad to talk it through privately. Request a private valuation and consultation with Michael Diaz.
